His passing feels very personal to many of us who grew up watching him grow from a young king into the man and monarch he became. In a strange way he was a familiar presence in our lives, someone we never knew personally, yet whose journey we quietly followed from a distance, always curious to see where life would take him. We grew up alongside him and his life became part of our own memories and childhood. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may God comfort the Royal Family and the people of Tooro during this difficult time.

Ohhhh Dear King Oyo! Words cannot explain how we have felt after learning about your passing! I may have never met you physically, but I always glad to share a birth year with the king...1992. Watching you officiate events at a very young age, standing and walking majestically just like the king that you are. I recently watched that video in which you mentioned that you knew who your boss was, the KING of kings... that was extremely heart warming. May He receive you in Glory, your majesty. From quality education, to climate action, sexual reproductive health, social justice, etc.. You have championed them all. We shall remember you forever. You have left an erasable mark. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

I will always remember His Royal Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV as a deeply humble man, despite his royal status. The Board of Governors, PTA, Headteacher, Staff, Parents, Students and the entire family of Kyenjojo SS join the Roysl Family of Tooro,the people of Tooro Kingdom, and the nation of Uganda in mourning the untimely passing of His Majesty Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. Ascending the throne at a tender age of three, Omukama Oyo served his people with dignity, wisdom and humility. He was a symbol of continuity, culture and hope for the young generation.
