My mom is a mutooro and her family raised me. I grew up hearing three languages at home: Luganda, English, and Lutooro. I remember learning about the late Oyo in primary school. Truthfully, I was never really invested in the kingdom's affairs, but I had a fondness for it. The news of Oyo's death was and still is painful. His youth cut short is what hurts the most! Rest well, forever young king. Maama Oyo, Queen Best, we mourn with you! I hope you find strength. I can't imagine how heartbreaking it is. But learning in the last couple of weeks that your son was Godfearing gives me hope that he will meet our maker...that he is in a better place, where you will meet him again.
