Ntoroko Dominates Kitagwenda in Thrilling MTN Kabode Tooro Kingdom Amasaza Tournament Clash

Today, the MTN Kabode Tooro Kingdom Amasaza Tournament 2025 witnessed a spectacular display of football today at the Karugutu Primary School playground in Ntoroko County, as the hosts Ntoroko delivered a resounding 4-1 defeat to Kitagwenda.

This Match Day 5 encounter in the fourth edition of the prestigious tournament saw Ntoroko assert their dominance with a powerful offensive performance.

Ntoroko’s scoring spree began in the 36th minute with a well-placed shot from Masembe Juma, setting the tone for their control of the game. Just two minutes later, Ndugwa Fred doubled their lead in the 38th minute, putting Kitagwenda on the back foot early in the match.

Kitagwenda managed to pull one back shortly before halftime, with Mayanja Rahim finding the net in the 41st minute, offering a glimmer of hope.

However, Ntoroko faced a setback just before the break when Bwambale Siraj was shown a red card, leaving them with ten men for the remainder of the match.

Despite being a man down, Ntoroko showcased incredible resilience and determination in the second half. Kisembo John emerged as the hero of the final minutes, scoring a superb brace.

His first goal came in the 85th minute, effectively sealing Kitagwenda’s fate, and he followed up with another impressive strike in the 90th minute, capping off a dominant performance for the home side.

The full-time whistle confirmed Ntoroko’s emphatic 4-1 victory, much to the delight of the home crowd. This win further solidifies Ntoroko’s position in the tournament as they continue their quest for the coveted MTN Tooro Kingdom Amasaza trophy.

As it stands, Ntoroko leads group B with three points and two goals, Burahya sits second with three points and one goal while Kitagwenda sits last with a negative four goal difference..

Burahya has a chance to proceed to semi finals as group leaders with only a point from their last game against Kitagwenda.

Kitagwenda has alot of work to do in their final group game, the team will hunt for not less than five goals to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Kitagwenda and Burahya will play their second and last group game on 27th July at Mahyoro Playground, Kitagwenda.
