With profound sadness, I send from Belgium my heartfelt condolences to the Queen Mother, the Royal Family and the people of Tooro on the untimely passing of His Majesty the Omukama. Having followed the Royal Houses and their traditions for many years, I remember with particular respect how His Majesty ascended the throne as a young child and grew into a dignified guardian of Tooro’s history, traditions and identity. May his remarkable reign and devotion to his people remain an enduring legacy. As a Belgian sending these condolences from afar, I would deeply treasure a small personal remembrance from the Royal Household in memory of His late Majesty. May His Majesty rest in eternal peace.
