The current Omukama of Tooro is Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. Whilst Omukama means ‘the superior milkman’:  a traditional  title given to rulers of Tooro and  Bunyoro kingdoms, Rukirabasaija means ‘the greatest of men’. Born on 16 April 1992 to King Patrick David Matthew Kaboyo Olimi III and Queen Best Olimi Kemigisa, King Oyo is the 12th ruler of Tooro. At the age of 3 and a half-years, he ascended to the throne in 1995. Currently, King Oyo holds the record as the “World’s Youngest Monarch” in the Guinness World Records Book. His Majesty the King is held with high esteem in Tooro Kingdom and beyond. He is considered to be The Man Above All Men, The Lion of Tooro, The Defender of the Weak, The Father of All Orphans, the one who corrects wrongdoers, and many other titles. Now aged 27, King Oyo is one of the most admired young leaders in the world. His Highness oversees Tooro Parliament with a cabinet composed of a prime minister, ministers, board of regents and councilmen.
