KINGDOM ANTHEM

The Tooro Kingdom anthem was composed in 1945 by the late George Magwara, a veteran of the Second World War and Member of Parliament in Tooro. It was first sung on 3rd December 1945 in the presence of Omukama Kamurasi Rukidi III. The anthem is sung during kingdom and cultural functions, but it is also sung in school assemblies.
